The European Federation of Corrugated Board Manufacturers have supplied figures for the average amount of CO2 emissions for the production process of 1T of corrugated board equalling 420 Kgco2e. Millbrook sees these statistics as unacceptable and works with suppliers to challenge the norm and improve. In this case significant improvement has been made and co2 emission greatly reduced.
Striving for a cleaner, greener product, we try to ensure that all materials are suitable for the standard paper recycling stream. With our coated board being made up of over 95% paper fibre and by using responsibly sourced coatings we believe that our products have no negative impact on the environment and in most cases should biodegrade and break down in to harmless and inert components.
Our boards contain no plastics and all papers are responsibly sourced from mills with sustainable supply chains and managed forests.
Final product structures will often be unique and bespoke to the customer so any evaluation in terms of biodegradability and recyclability will need to be tested in the final construction by the customer.
EM 101 – Water Proof Board
1 or 2 side coated corrugated board with water and grease barrier. This product is direct food contact approved.
EM 108 – Anti Slip
1 or 2 side coated anti slip corrugated board for non slip interleaves or boxes. Can be coated in full width or stripes.
This product is fully recyclable and repulpable.
EM 113 – Metallised Board
Polymer free, metallised corrugate board, providing insulation properties with direct food contact approval.
This product is fully recyclable and repulpable.
EM 124 – Siliconised Board
Non-Stick, direct food contact approved 1 side silicone coated corrugated board. Ideal for adhesive and baking applications.
